Dinner, Together for iPhone and iPad ยท Effective October 12, 2026

Your saved recipes and dinner plans are stored in the app on your device. There is no app account, sign-in, analytics service, or advertising. Importing a web recipe link connects to the selected websites, as described below.

What the app keeps, and where

The app saves your dinner plan and progress, plus the recipes you choose to save: their ingredients, directions, step estimates, source information when available, and optional cover photos. These files live in the app's storage on your device. The app does not upload this library to a developer-operated server or provide account-based sync. Device backups are managed by Apple and your device settings.

Screenshots and pasted text

Recipe text recognition runs on your device. The app reads the screenshots you choose and saves the resulting recipe when you confirm it. You can optionally crop a cover photo from a chosen screenshot; the saved cover is stored with the recipe. The app does not upload chosen screenshots or pasted recipe text for recognition.

Recipe links and websites

When you import a web recipe link, the app requests that page, may follow a redirect to the publisher, and may download the recipe's photo. The contacted websites receive normal network-request information, such as your IP address and the requested URL, and may keep their own logs under their privacy policies. These requests use a temporary session that does not accept website cookies. Planning and cooking with saved recipes do not require internet access.

If you open a recipe's source link, the website opens separately and its own privacy policy applies.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules timer reminders on your device using Apple's local notification system. They are created and delivered entirely on your device; no server is involved. You can turn them off at any time in Settings โ†’ Notifications โ†’ Dinner, Together, and the app's timers keep working without them.

No tracking

The app has no advertising or analytics tracking service. Recipe-link requests are used to import the content you choose, rather than to track activity across apps or websites.

Children

The app is not directed at children. The same local-storage and optional recipe-link behavior described above applies to all users.

Changes

Changes to the app's privacy practices will be described here, with the effective date updated.
